Trinitarians Provide Meals for ABCCM Transformation Village

Last week, I had the privilege of working alongside some amazing women—Nancy Howden, Anne Bleynat, and Beth Putnam—to provide meals for the residents of ABCCM Transformation Village. Due to Hurricane Helen, the usual volunteer teams were unable to make it to Transformation Village.

Together, we prepared three meals. For one of the meals, we made a comforting meal of chicken, rice, and veggies. For the other two meals, we whipped up six pans of lasagna! It was a busy, yet incredibly rewarding, time in the kitchen.

It's important to note that this type of service is nothing new to our church community. Debbie Cox and a dedicated group of volunteers from Trinity have been serving the women and children at Transformation Village on the third Tuesday of every month.

ABCCM Transformation Village is a vital resource in our community, providing up to 100 beds of transitional housing for homeless women, mothers with children, and veterans. It's more than just a shelter—it's a place of hope and healing. The meals we provide, while simple, are a way of showing these families that they are cared for and supported.

I’m incredibly grateful to our Volunteers who choose to be part of this effort and to see firsthand how our small acts of service can bring a little light to someone’s day. A huge thank you to everyone who helps make this possible!
