After a year's hiatus, the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner returned and 125 Trinitarians were ready to get out and celebrate the last feast before Lent. And celebrate, they did consuming 15 pounds of bacon and 200 sausage links, not to mention the pancakes! Thank you to the Trinity men who cooked the dinner for us!
Why pancakes? Traditionally it's last chance for a spot of indulgence before 40 days of fasting, and also an opportunity to use up food that couldn’t be eaten during Lent. This included eggs, fat and milk, which were made into pancakes and eaten on that day.
