During the trip I got to meet and reconnect with some other people my age, and an amazing tour guide and translator who we all got to bond with. Talking with my friends and getting to know people is when I most felt connected to God because I got to see what they were like on a deeper level than the surface. Secondly, when we traveled into the mountains and got to see these beautiful creatures and waterfalls, it felt like I was one with the spirit of God that also connected me to nature.
Lastly, when we had a service and got to sing and listen to church the way I'd always known but through a different language, it was cool to know all of us Episcopalians are connected no matter where we live on this planet.
