Congratulations to Frida Vassallo, our new Trinity Senior Acolyte for 2023-2024!
Frida is a senior at Asheville High School; she plays field hockey and works at the mall. Frida started serving as an acolyte for Trinity in third grade. When asked about her experience, she said “being an acolyte for Trinity is important to me because I get the opportunity to give back to the church, learn more about my faith, and make friends with the other youth acolytes.”
Senior Acolytes teach at acolyte training sessions, help new acolytes with vesting and their scheduled duties, serve as role models for the younger children, and help the Acolyte Master organize the Sunday processions. This is all in addition to serving in acolyte roles with more importance and more duties during the service than Junior Acolyte duties.
Feel free to share your congratulations with Frida when you see her on Sunday!
