Dear Church,

Episcopal Youth Experience (EYE) is a conference where teenagers from dioceses worldwide come together every three years to worship and pray as believers in the Episcopal community. This year, about 1,000 teenagers from all 50 states and around the globe gathered at the University of Maryland in College Park in mid-July for four days. Other members of the Episcopal churches in the WNC Diocese attended with me. There were six teenagers from WNC, and we traveled to College Park via van.

Every day we would get up and go to worship, and then in the afternoon, there were multiple workshops we could choose from. My favorite workshop was the Entrepreneur workshop. My most memorable experience was meeting new friends from around the country. Listening to Bishop Curry speak was a powerful and unique experience as well.

I was glad I went to EYE and highly recommend other teenagers attend EYE in the future!
