The Outreach Team is a group of passionate lay persons leading the parish outside of our walls. They cultivate opportunities for service, and are responsible for disbursing over 10% of the congregation’s annual pledged income (a tithe) to organizations and groups in the community that seek to do justice and love mercy.
As part of outreach ministry, the parish is welcome to participate in Red Bag Sunday where each member receives a reusable grocery bag at Sunday worship with a list of food items to be purchased. These items have been requested by various local organizations to replenish food pantries for food insecurity ministries. The event happens four times a year and is a great opportunity to help the community.
The latest Red Bag initiative provided 766 lbs of food supplies to MANNA Foodbank.
